These smart cameras include the latest 5MP resolution image sensors to produce clear images at over 2 times the resolution of 1080p cameras. These 2K cameras can record at 5MP resolution in near real-time at 20 frames-per-second (FPS). Compare that to the majority of the competition, especially at retailers or warehouse clubs, those cameras generally record at 15fps or less. With such high resolutions, we have built H.265 compression into the camera to reduce storage requirements by up to 50% compared to older H.264 compression. The MTB5098-AISMD has a wide 98º field of view, which covers vast areas with just a single camera, but it is not too wide that it is unfocused.
